Blah!

I have not been feeling well the past few days. Not sick, just blah! I think recovering from vacation coupled with Mother Nature has left me feeling lethargic for the past few days. Hope to get my motivation back soon and get back out there!

Un-Exercise

Some days it's hard to fit in real exercise, but I want to post that I am still active. For example, Wednesday of last week I helped clean out my in-laws basement: sweeping, lifting, pushing, hauling, and sweating profusely for about 3 hours. On Thursday morning, Ed and I took the kids to the pool where I fit in some water aerobics moves between catching and throwing Fletcher and being attacked by "sharks." So some days will not have anything posted under my Exercise Log but real life is sometimes active enough for one day!

Nature

It is really pretty here in Cranford, NJ and they have 15 terrific miles of bike paths perfect for biking/walking/running. Today I walked/ran through the woods and to and around a great park with a pond and 2 fountains. As I rounded a section near the woods I saw 6 deer. I think it must have been a mom and dad, 3 babies, and a young deer. I got about 30 feet from them before they headed back into the woods. Lovely! We are enjoying our visit and I'm enjoying the great areas for my runs!

B-O-B

I am now the proud owner of a BOB Evolution stroller! We tested it out, got a testimonial from a friend, and Ed read many reviews and comparison shopped and determined it is the best! I am so excited and can't wait to try it out! It holds up to 75 pounds so should accomodate Fletcher for a few more years.

Side Effects

Current side effects of walking/running:

1. I now know the lyrics to many hip-hop/rap songs, sucka!
2. I dream about running.
3. I wake up wanting to go run.
4. I am feeling healthy.
5. My skin is yucky!

Couch to 5K Week 2

Week 2 looks like this:

5 minute warm up with brisk walk
90 seconds running
2 minutes walking
90 seconds running

90 seconds running

Going well! Loved my run today! Ed dropped me off in Cranford somwhere and I ran on the bike path which was a great change of scenery.
